Reagent Calculator
Choose the cartridge fill amount and enter your protocol amount. The calculator returns concentration and clicks live.
USING THE CALCULATOR
This calculator helps you plan cartridge use for Enhanced Republic laboratory reagents. Choose the fill amount of your cartridge, for example a 20 mg cartridge, and enter your research protocol parameters to see clicks per application, click counts per cartridge and approximate duration.
Every calculation reflects the actual cartridge specifications. To order, go to the ordering flow.
METHODOLOGY
HOW RECONSTITUTION WORKS
Laboratory reagents ship as lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Before use in research applications, they are reconstituted with bacteriostatic water (BAC water), a sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol that inhibits bacterial growth.
The ratio of powder mass to reconstitution volume determines the final concentration in mg/ml. This concentration then determines how much liquid volume delivers a target research dose.
Example: a 20mg vial reconstituted with 4.0ml of BAC water produces a 5.0 mg/ml concentration. A 2mg target dose requires 0.4ml of the reconstituted solution, which corresponds to 40 units on a U-100 insulin syringe.
The calculator handles this math automatically once you enter the cartridge fill amount and your protocol parameters. For cartridges, the volume is fixed at 3 ml per cartridge and per-click delivery in micrograms is calculated directly from the cartridge fill amount.

CALCULATIONS EXPLAINED
Every value in the calculator is derived from these formulas. The math is public so you can verify any output against your own understanding.
FOR VIAL FORMAT
- Concentration (mg/ml) = Compound mass (mg) ÷ BAC water volume (ml)
- Dose volume (ml) = Target dose ÷ Concentration
- U-100 syringe units = Dose volume (ml) × 100
- U-40 syringe units = Dose volume (ml) × 40
- Doses per vial = Compound mass ÷ Target dose
- Vial duration (weeks) = Doses per vial ÷ Doses per week
FOR CARTRIDGE FORMAT
- Concentration (mg/ml) = Compound mass (mg) ÷ 3ml
- Micrograms per click = (Compound mass × 1000) ÷ 300 clicks
- Clicks per dose = Target dose ÷ Micrograms per click
- Cartridge duration (weeks) = 300 clicks ÷ (Clicks per dose × Doses per week)
Cartridges always contain 3ml and deliver 300 clicks per cartridge when used with the GensuPen 2 pen system. Each click delivers 1 IU on the U-100 scale, which translates to a compound-specific microgram value based on the cartridge's compound concentration.
