GOOD TO KNOW
New to refillable pens? Start here.
Unlike sealed disposable pens, the GensuPen 2 is refillable, so before your first dose, it needs priming. Inside the pen, a rod has to travel forward until it meets the cartridge. Until it makes contact, clicking won't push anything out yet. That's normal. Prime the pen until you see a small drop at the needle tip, then set your dose and inject. After that first prime, it works click-for-click every time.
Clicking and nothing comes out at first? That's priming, keep going until you see a drop. Nothing is wrong with your pen.
GETTING STARTED
Load, prime, dose
LOAD
Unscrew the cartridge holder, insert your cartridge, screw it back on, then attach a fresh needle tip.
PRIME
With a new cartridge, click until a small drop appears at the tip. This only happens once per cartridge.
DOSE
Set your dose on the selector and inject. The pen doses precisely, one click at a time.
